Just yesterday, on July 20, Amazon announced that the sale of ebooks had even surpassed the sale of hardcover books. For every 100 hardcover books sold, Amazon sold around 180 ebooks during the past month. It seems everything is going electronic these days. Newspapers, snail mail, research; staples of everyday recent life have all been taken over by more efficient, electronic versions provided through the internet. Furthermore, the electronic industry seems to be poised to pounce on the book market and make paper books an obsolete thing of the past; but will they succeed?

Setting Up WordPress – Posts – Post Tags

In the post tags sub-panel you can assign keywords to your posts using post tags. Tags do not have hierarchy like the categories, meaning there is not a parent to child relationship from one tag to another. The post tags sub-panel is very similar to the post categories sub-panel and operates the same with the exception of no sub-category selection.

This sub-panel allows you to create new tags, edit or delete existing ones. You can use the screen options tab at the top of the sub-panel to edit the table heading and to control the numbers of shown in the table. Un-check any box you do not want to appear or check any box that you do want in the table header. To control the number listed enter the number you want displayed in the show on screen box and click apply.

In this series I am going to mainly explore the thinking behind blogs and how to leverage them for your online purpose (“the why”), and somewhat less focus on “the how”.

What is a Blog Really About?

The name and idea of the blog evolved from earlier things called “web logs”. Blogs can be in various formats, but the basic idea is that they offer you a means of communicating your message and views in a very personal way to your audience. They are the very opposite of the “corporate site” that we so often see online.
