HI Suzanne
GREAT post. I only attended on the Sunday as had other commitments on the previous 2 days. I was "put on the spot" when Dawn Mendonca got me on stage during her brilliant video marketing presentation- all good fun though.
I found it very insprirational and didn't feel "pitched at". At the end of the day, all the women have products to sell and over the last couple of years I have realised that we are all doing a disservice if we do NOT promote what we sell - as the target market for that product will only find it from someone else.
The pitching I don't like to see is the kind where it seems like your life - and that of your family! - depends on it! I didnt see anything like that on the Sunday - just great women giving information you can take away and do something with - with an offer to work with them if you wanted to do so.
I loved the ad hoc session in the morning outside the room with Jennifer -and at some point would love to attend her workshops as a treat for myself and to gain more insight into what she is doing.
What did others get out of the event? Looking forward to hearing more replies :-)

I agree with every point here. It's really important to increase social media integration within websites to keep up with innovation and demographical usage patterns.

HI Matt - thanks for the comments. I think when something is new, people just need to take a bit of time out to see "what's what" BUT I know that is easier said than done. (so I do videos to show them "what's what" haha). We have just seen a lot of "jumping up and down" on posts about being added to groups without being asked - and THEN getting bombared with emails everytime someone adds to that post -so they see it as being spammed to a high level. I think the lesson here is to THINK before you add hundreds of people to a group. They are a great idea if used in the correct way :)

Mind you I created a Family one, added my family to it and no-one has been in touch. They are either trying to tell me something OR they dont know what it is (the latter I thnk)

Thanks again Matt

Great video Eileen. The stuff about not getting flooded with e-mails is really good, especially for the entrepreneurs who want to be in the loop but not overwhelmed.

Looking forward to seeing your new business.

most people do not know what they want and that is why they dont get there. Time out is what is needed when you are soul searching, because when you take time (20 minutes a day) to walk the dog or go to the beach or just sit in peace and quiet, the world eventually reveals itself to you step by step.

Thanks for this Graham - and what a story you have there! I really felt it. We all make decisions for many reasons - personal and business - and on occasions someone (or two or three or more) may get upset at it. We feel that as long as we are satisfied that our business decisions are made with an ethical and morally correct judgement then we are happy with that - and if ever in hindsight a decison ever turned out to perhaps have been not the right one then we need to learn from that. We just wondered how others deal with and feel about making decisons that affect others so thank you very much for sharing this story with everyone.

As one saying goes..... "The person who try to please everyone, pleases none"
