Well what a day today was and how exciting Keep IT Simple Software Training had much pleasure in delivering their first webinar. The webinar of choice today was for an hour giving an overview on How to Use Outlook more effectively.

The first few minutes were used to ascertain the objectives of the delegates that had signed up to ensure that we knew what they wanted to achieve. We wanted to provide the delegates with some good hints and tips that they can use immediately, from removing the overwhelm of the amount of emails in their in box, to using Calendar and Tasks as a Time Management tool, in addition how to pull it all together within Contacts.

One lady joined us all the way from not so sunny Scotland, it was blowing a gale and tipping it down with rain so to say she was grateful that she did not have to get in a car and drive anywhere to receive this training was an understatement.

Each 15 minute session was delivered with objectives clearly stated, how the delegates were going to achieve those objectives with clear visual demonstration of the Outlook screen. After each 15 minutes session the delegates were given the opportunity to ask further questions relating to the topic just delivered.

After the first session one of the delegates stated that “just my showing her the Rules and Alerts facility within Outlook has saved her 15 minutes of time every day”……………how was that for a cracking start.

Eileen and Suzanne hosted it with Suzanne delivering the content and Eileen managing the flow of questions coming from the delegates.

The training will be followed up with calls to each of the delegates as some of them had specific questions relating to problems they are having with their flow of data and how best to handle it (which we informed them was not necessarily best to do in Outlook), but this could be handled externally to Outlook.

The delegates will also continue to receive our free hints and tips that are sent out regularly by signing up to our site http://www.keepitsimplesoftwaretraining.com and they will be sent quick reference notes as a back up to the demonstrations provided.

We are delivering more of these overview sessions and the next one is scheduled for the 1st December, you can join the webinar today by clicking on this link http://tinyurl.com/yj8exs6 and we have recommended that if more details is required on each of Calendar, Contacts, Email or Tasks then we will be delivering 1 hourly sessions on each.
